I have been kicking around the idea of starting a blog for a few years now. I’ve always felt the need express myself creatively and this seemed like the perfect way to do it. It is accessible to anyone with an internet connection, I can add content rather quickly and I could incorporate other content into my posts rather seamlessly. The hard part was deciding what to write about. There are tons of blogs out there about everything under the sun. Things like electronics, pro sports, tv shows, combine tractors and cicadas all have blogs dedicated to them. Yes, there is a blog dedicated to cicadas!!! I am not making this up people. That said there is almost no space for an entirely new creative idea in this post-internet world. Trust me I looked. Blogging about my life was out of the question. Some people are able to pull it off but that was not appealing to me.

I was reading Bill Simmons the other day and it struck me, I can do what he does!!! I am in no way comparing myself to him. He is one of ESPN’s most popular writers and he has been at it for years. At the end of the day, he’s a funny guy and he writes about sports. I make people laugh every now and then and I love sports. This seemed like a good idea so I’m giving it a shot on this blog. I plan on writing about the latest news and current events in the sporting world from a pretty lighthearted point of view. There will be a lot of off color stories on this blog. If you’re looking for in depth analysis of pitching matchups in the MLB or breakdowns of NFL draft prospects this might not be the right place for you but I will post links on my page.

I’m new at this so bear with me. I’ll be tweaking the layout and format of my site as I go. I’d really appreciate any feedback or comments that you may have. This is a work in progress. Enjoy.
