Are the Jets Imploding?

There has been a lot off talk around the league and in the media about how great the New York Jets were going to be this season and some even went so far as to label them favorites to win it all including their coach. These same folks have been quickly dropping off the radar some even reporting that the Jets may not have a winning season. The way things have looked so far they might want to quit worrying about winning the super bowl and worry about winning on Sundays during the regular season.

The Jets found themselves matched up against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night in their first game of the season. Ray Lewis and his team did not appreciate the loads of praise that had been heaped on their undeserving opponent and made this quite clear in their interviews leading up to the game. Ray Lewis called them out:

We’re talking about the Jets like we’re talking about the Saints. They [the Saints] are the defending Superbowl Champions… They’re talking like they are the Miami Heat of football. If Y’all are the Miami Heat, we gotta be the Lakers because we have multiple rings… My name should not come out of Rex’s mouth unless he’s telling someone to come block me which is gonna be a very damn hard task on Monday night.

Big Ray wasn’t lying. Blocking him during week one proved to be a nearly impossible task for the Jets. Even though he only had 4 tackles, Ray was all over the field and completely disrupted the Jet’s offense which put up only 9 points on their way to a 10-9 loss.

Floyd Mayweather Junior Arrested!

Floyd Mayweather Junior has just been arrested in Las Vegas on charges of grand larceny ESPN.com reports. Mayweather allegedly took a number of personal items from his ex-girlfriend Thursday morning but it is unclear what was taken. This is not his first run in with the law and probably won’t be his last. He’s been arrested multiple times on various assault and battery charges.

This guy might be at the end of a coke or meth binge. He’s just been acting much crazier than normal lately. We are used to him bouncing all over the ring and starting feuds with rappers but his racist rant against Pac Man and these new charges are more than we are accustomed to.

50 Cent shared his thoughts on the situation this morning via twitter stating:

She [Floyd’s Ex] has a girlfriend that stays in the guesthouse that floyd is paying for her as child support that is helping fuel the situation…

Floyd said he feels like her girlfriend is using her and pushing her in the wrong direction

Oregon State Lineman Arrested Nude in Strangers Home

This story is too good to be true. From the Huffington Post:

An Oregon State University offensive lineman has been dismissed from the team after police say they found him naked and intoxicated in a stranger’s home and had to use stun guns to take him into custody.

Corvallis police say they received the call about a naked intruder early Sunday. Responding officers ordered 19-year-old Tyler Patrick Thomas of Kalispell, Mont., to get on the ground, Lt. Tim Brewer said.

Thomas refused and instead dropped into a three-point stance like a football player and lunged at the officers, Brewer said. At that point, he said, two officers fired their stun guns. Brewer said Thomas “absolutely was intoxicated” at the time.
